I have become interested in the deconstruction process as I beleive that it gives communities an opportunity to to become stronger as they try to rise from the ashes of poverty, blight, flight and lack of local government leadership in community development. I hope to show the issues and opportunities for Deconstructing some homes to help create a ready inventory of materials to be used in rehabilitating properties in the same area as well as an era specific warehouse of supplies to keep the occupied properties in repair. Additionally I hope to write about legislation and initiatives focused on the area of community development as the inventory of vacant and abandoned properties increases and the means and metods to restore and re-occupy them decreases.
